Terms of service

These terms govern use of Redtrail, provided by EZBLOCK INC ("we", "us"), by the organization that approves it for its Microsoft 365 tenant ("you", "customer") and by that organization's users. Effective 7 September 2026.

1. The service

Redtrail consists of an add-in for Microsoft Word, a hosted service that connects the add-in to AI agent clients your organization authorizes, and a hosted change history. Agents edit documents you have open as tracked changes; the add-in shows each change and, depending on your settings, holds it for approval or applies it. You are responsible for the agents you connect, for the instructions you give them, and for reviewing the changes they make. Redtrail does not review documents for accuracy and does not replace your own review of what an agent writes.

2. Accounts and access

Access requires a Microsoft work account in a tenant whose administrator has approved Redtrail. Administrators may set policies, revoke agent authorizations, end sessions and remove the service. You will keep your credentials confidential and tell us promptly about any unauthorized use.

3. Plans, seats and trials

A seat is a person who connects an agent through Redtrail in a calendar month. The Free tier allows one document at a time per person. The Team plan is sold per seat. The Enterprise plan is agreed in writing. Approving the service for your organization starts a 30-day trial with five seats; when it ends without a purchase, the organization moves to the Free tier and nothing is deleted. If more people use the service in a month than the seats you bought, the service keeps working for 14 days while it asks your administrator to add seats, after which agent edits are paused until seats are added.

4. Buying through Microsoft

When you buy Redtrail through Microsoft Marketplace, Microsoft bills you under its own terms and the Standard Contract for the Microsoft commercial marketplace governs that purchase; these terms apply to everything the Standard Contract does not cover. Seats, renewals and cancellation are managed in the Microsoft 365 admin center. The add-in itself is free to install.

5. Your content

Your documents and their content are yours and remain in your Microsoft 365 tenant. You grant us only the right to process your content as needed to provide the service, which includes relaying agent operations to the add-in, running the review gate, and storing the change history your administrators enable, encrypted, in the region you select. Administrators can export, pause and delete the history at any time. We claim no ownership of your content and do not use it to train models.

6. Acceptable use

You will not use the service to access documents you are not authorized to access, to circumvent your organization's policies or Microsoft's terms, to send unlawful or infringing content, to probe or disrupt the service, or to resell it without an agreement with us. We may suspend access that we reasonably believe violates these terms or threatens the service, and we will tell your administrator when we do.

7. Third-party software and agents

Microsoft Word, Microsoft 365 and the agent clients you connect are provided by their own vendors under their own terms. We are not responsible for their availability or behavior. The review gate reduces some risks of agent edits, such as leaked secrets or instructions hidden in documents, but it cannot catch everything; you remain responsible for what you accept into your documents.

8. Availability and support

We aim for continuous availability and announce planned maintenance in advance. Support is provided by email as described on our support page. Service level commitments for the Enterprise plan are set out in that plan's agreement.

9. Privacy and security

Our privacy policy describes what we collect and how we protect it. Where you need a data processing agreement, we will sign one that reflects that policy.

10. Intellectual property

Redtrail, its software, documentation and trademarks belong to EZBLOCK INC or its licensors. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during your subscription. You may not copy, modify or reverse-engineer the service except where the law allows. Feedback you give us may be used without obligation to you.

11. Warranties and disclaimer

We warrant that the service will perform materially as described on this website. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that agent edits will be correct or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, and our total liability under these terms is limited to the fees you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars if you paid none. These limits do not apply to a party's breach of confidentiality, infringement of the other party's intellectual property, or liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Term and termination

These terms apply while your organization has the service approved or has an active subscription. Either party may terminate for a material breach that is not cured within 30 days of notice. On termination, access ends, and your administrators may export the change history for 30 days, after which we delete it. Sections 5 and 10 through 15 survive termination.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; we will post the new version here with a new effective date and notify the administrators of active organizations by email at least 30 days before a material change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance of the change.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws rules, and the state and federal courts located in Santa Clara County, California have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any competent court.
